I have seriously slacked on reporting back stories and uploading photos of my trip to Portugal. I'm embarrassed that I have been home for over a month and a half now without posting, but I'm starting now! Enjoy!

Top 85 Colors This Season

Wallpaper came out with a fabulous slide show highlighting the only 85 colours you'll need this season. ONLY 85 colors?! This is my kind of season- packed with a plethora of colors ranging from bright and bold to a few subtle pastels. Flip through the slide show to see all of the up and coming colors, and designs for that matter. I have pulled a few of my faves that I can't wait to bust out this season!

Miami Seaplane Tour

What did you do this Valentine's Day? I took my valentine on a Miami Seaplane Tour for an out of the ordinary way to spend the holiday. The flight departs from Key Biscayne and ventures up and down Miami's coast. To board the plane, you literally have to walk in the water until you reach the plane, which remains hovered on the ocean. The flight was a short 30 minutes filled with amazing sights such as Vizcaya, Lebron's beachfront home, Little Palm Island, and South Beach. Sitting in the tiny 3 passenger plane and looking down at Miami's tropical ocean water, the skyline and beaches was an exciting way to take a new perspective on this city. It's the perfect adventuresome activity to get better acquainted with Miami and have a little bit of unexpected fun!

All in a Day's Work

In preparation for the Lucky Magazine shoot, I was frantic to finish designing the den in our apartment, which has been left unfurnished for months! We made it our mission the weekend before the shoot to buy whatever it took to transform the den into an office. In just one whirlwind Saturday, we made it happen, from buying accessories to assembling the West Elm desk and hanging artwork. I love the way the new office looks! Ironically enough, the room became a storage unit for all the boxes and shoes for the day of the shoot, but at least I know the room is finally complete!

Last Wednesday I had the privilege of having Lucky Magazine come to my apartment to shoot me in my home for their May 2011 issue. It was such an amazing experience to see a complete transformation of my home by their prop stylists and photographic team. Days before the shoot, I had tons of boxes of designer samples arrive, and I waited with anticipation to open them up to find some spectacular home accent pieces, bedding, and art. To make the day even more fun, Lucky sent their hair and makeup team, as well as a fabulous duo of wardrobe stylists with trunks full of designer clothes and shoes for me to wear in the shoot. It was a thrilling and exhausting day, and I can't wait to see which shot they include in the magazine. Check out the Lucky Magazine May 2011 issue to view my story!!

Lucky Magazine Feature!

I have exciting news! I just found out that after entering a photo of my bedroom to a Lucky Magazine contest, I have been selected to appear in the May 2011 issue of Lucky Magazine! I couldn't be more thrilled! In less than one week, the Lucky Magazine stylists, photographer, and crew will come to shoot at my apartment! That gives me just one weekend to go on a shopping spree to make the apartment look fabulous, and of course, gives me an excuse to buy some new clothes as well! I can't wait to meet the Lucky team and see how the shoot pans out! Wish me luck and keep your eyes out for me in the May 2011 issue of Lucky Magazine!!!

Busy Blinging!

I have been slacking on my posts, once again! I've been busy designing the Fall/Holiday line for the adorable children's clothing and accessories company Bella Bling! This company is adorable! Definitely check it out if you have a little girl or need to find the perfect baby gift! I still have lots of travel photos to post from Portugal and then Madrid, so when I get a spare second I will be updating! Stay tuned!
