El Badi Palace

El Badi Palace once was as extravagant or more than El Bahia Palace. It was built in the 16th century, so it's no wonder that it is a ruin now with just the remainders of what used to be a breathtaking palace. Personally I'm more amused by the intricate color, tile work, and architecture at other palaces in Marrakech. I find trekking through the dirt and grass of the ruins to be far less interesting, but that's just me. I found the storks that live here atop the walls in their massive 6 foot nests to be the most interesting sight at this landmark. The views when you climb to the top of the palace are incredible and make the trip worthwhile as you have endless rooftop views of Marrakech!

Aren't these stork nests amazing?
