Jemaa El Fna

Jemaa El Fna
, the main square in Marrakech, is action packed with all sorts of Moroccan artisans and entertainers ready to put on a show for your coins. Snake charmers lurk, men with monkeys entice you for photos, and there's a constant ring of bells in the air from the water men dressed in a bright garb and massive hats. There is even a tooth puller with a booth open, ready and willing to pluck your teeth out and add it to his endless graveyard of molers on his table. The square is bustling with activity, musicians, henna artists, and anything else Moroccan that you could imagine. Come nighttime, some of the carts wheel aside and make space for the numerous mobile restaurants that park there for a wild night of experimental eating such as sheep's head and blood sausage. At night, the story tellers, and drag queen dancers also make a racy appearance. Jemaa el Fna is so wildly entertaining that words and pictures couldn't even capture the action, I had to take videos as well to really bring it to life!
